Christmas Pudding.


Recipe

  • 100g (4oz) suet
  • 50g (2oz) flour
  • 100g (4oz) raisons
  • 100g (4oz) sultanas
  • 50g (2oz) currants
  • 50g (2oz) mixed peel
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice
  • 100g (4oz) sugar
  • 100g (4oz) breadcrumbs
  • 25g (1oz) ground almonds
  • 2 eggs
  • Grated zest of lemon or orange
  • Wineglass of brandy
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Method


  • Mix all the ingredients together.
  • Add the liquid and mix well.
  • Place into a greased basin and cover with greased greaseproof paper.
  • Steam for 6 - 8 hours.
  • Serve with cream, rum or brandy butter sauce.
